As far as I know, there are three main outlets in greater LA area: Dessert hills in Palm Spring, Camarillo, where I visit most frequently since it’s only half hour away, and Ontario Mills, the one Danying and I went last weekend. Unlike Camarillo, Ontario Mills is an indoors space and includes many different shops from Camarillo Outlet. The food court at Ontario also looks more appealing. Compared with Camarillo, Ontario has at least three big shoe outlets, A&F, and American Eagles outlets.
One thing I learned from my outlet shopping experiences is that it takes chance to find something you really like. Sometimes, take A&F for example, you can find better deals at the sales section of regular stores (usually located in the back) than outlets.
